About Joseph

Joseph has spent more than half a century studying math, physics, biochemistry, cross-cultural medicines, microbiology, botany, psychology, psychiatry, anthropology, linguistics, mythology, cosmology, astronomy, world literature, philosophy, history, music, art, creativity, art history, shamanism, mysticism, world religions, politics and economics. He has created a series of mind-illuminating, heart-opening public presentation events that include healing musical modalities.

Joseph’s unique life revolves around constantly living in the Spirit world and communicating with countless numbers of the Spiritual Masters of all traditions and well-known historical personages such as scientists, composers, explorers and authors. A psychotherapist and Medical‐Psychological Anthropologist, Joseph is the Founder and Director of The Academy of World Psychology and Creative Arts.

Joseph has taught and trained thousands of students and clients over the past 42 years. He incorporates a vast network of complementary, ancient and modern quantum-healing modalities for the unity of the spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical. Joseph is a composer, artist and writer currently living in Victoria BC.

Being one of the first, if not the first, person in the world to survive open-heart surgery, my life has always been about open-heartedness and kindness.  Learning to play the piano at age four, “Heart and Soul” became my theme song.  A 35-minute Near-Death Experience on the operating table of Toronto’s Sick Children’s Hospital showed me the reality of the immortal soul and higher spiritual worlds.   Healing myself after this only partially successful surgery at age eight convinced me that each of us has within us the full power to heal our self with the grace of Spirit and innate wisdom of the body.  As Carl Jung says, “Only what is really oneself has the power to heal.”

I have been a coach and trainer of individuals and groups enhancing their personal excellence for 35 years in such venues as a professor of Anthropology, and of Psychology and Family Studies, as well as Experimental Art.  I have been a psychotherapist since 1970 and have facilitated Dream Groups and Recovery Groups, among others.  My conceptual psychotherapeutic framework includes Jungian, Archetypal, Transpersonal, Spiritual Emergence, Shamanistic, Cross-Cultural, Adlerian, Gestalt, Psychodrama, Behavioural, Biofeedback, Self-Psychology, and other modalities.

My clientele reflects my openness to issues of gender, ethnicity, religion, age and sexual orientation.  I am the Founder and Director of The Academy of World Psychology and Creative Arts in 1992, and the Founder and Director of ~The Soul Initiative~ Coach-Facilitator-Trainer Program in 1995.  I am a Founding Member of Source Co-Creations which gives educational public lectures and workshops, business and corporate trainings, and professional coaching and facilitation for individuals and organizations, along with publishing books.  I am a Founding Member of Rites of Passage which works with individuals, groups, corporations and communities on “Regeneration Through Soul Purpose”.

The hallmarks of my interactions with people have been open-heartedness, discipline, fun, play, creativity, logic, questioning, Self-discovery, and in helping develop will power and positive intention.  Open communications, respect, trust and love are inherent values I engender in all interpersonal relations.  Through deepening spiritual experiential processes, individuals find they can open up doors, walk through and become the persons they dare dream about.
